 > You indicated that the loop *with* time.sleep(1) was not interruptible.
 Err, that should read: *without* it's not interruptible because of the
 tight loop; *with* it is interruptible because we can 'catch' the signal.
 In our cases we're in a os.stat call for each of the events in the queue.
