 It would be nice if you could initiate a graceful shutdown of a slave,
 from the slave.

 This would be useful for people who are contributing buildbot slaves for
 various projects, and need to disconnect the slave for some reason, but
 don't want to cause burning builds.

 It's also useful for doing automated maintenance on machines - you need to
 be able to tell when it's safe to upgrade libraries or buildbot itself,
 etc.
