Comment:

 I made a recording, but during the recording, I noticed that the file
 system had turned read only due to read errors. Now the machine won't boot
 again.

 I had even run read performance tests with hdparm that showed nice 60MB/s,
 but probably parts of the disk had long timeout errors, definitely did
 today.

 Before I booted, I could observe the same performance issue, slow response
 for the list of all builders, even on that read only file system.

 I now assume that there was a coincidence of the disk starting to die
 (although nothing was in dmesg then) and my Buildbot migration to nine. I
 am replacing the disk, and seems I can expect to have better performance
 then.

 Sorry for the noise, these things are hard to detect. Esp. as all other
 services seemed unaffected.

 I am marking the ticket as invalid.
