 I'm seeing this issue come up again. Updated to latest Python 2.7.9,
 Buildbot 0.8.12 and Twisted 15.2.0, but the issue persists here.

 The issue started reappearing when the architecture of our build system
 changed to print more data to stderr, like was discussed above. The repro
 is simple, just make a build step that prints large volumes of data to
 stderr, and the build will hang for a long amount of time. Here is an
 example of the hang in action: http://clb.demon.fi:8112/builders/win-
 incoming/builds/831 . In this case, the step "Tests-default" took 34 hrs,
 1 mins, 2 secs as a result, when a typical run should take about 2 hrs, 45
 mins, 6 secs.
