 I'm not sure what you mean about the URIs (these are API URIs) and UI
 being tightly related.

 In irc Pierre convinced me that what we have is functional and that we
 should probably figure out exactly what issues -- if any -- it presents
 before committing to fix it.

 That said, we should carefully document what messages are sent right now,
 and also be careful that only update messages send updates.
