 OK, I've made headway, if I disable bugs@ in smtp_always_cc it sends to
 the mailing list.  One strange thing I noticed is postfix is assigning the
 same mail ID to the mail it sends to mailman.  I don't see why this would
 be a problem but I think it is causing mailman to collapse the emails.
 There is absolutely nothing in mailmans log. I will have to enable
 debugging to dig deeper.
