 Clicking through various URLs like that in comment 1, I see that

  * http://nine.buildbot.net/api/v2/logs/1470/contents?offset=0
  * http://nine.buildbot.net/api/v2/logs/1470/contents?offset=1

 etc. work just fine, but once you add `limit=1` things go haywire.  I
 think there's a bug in the Data API implementation here.
